BIKER SECRETARY?

Moto BarThis is kind of a back to back post coming only one day behind the other one but I have been quiet for  awhile. I just returned from a trip to one of my most favorite cities San Francisco with my BFF Ashley. We met up with two of my Vanity Club sisters Kelli and Diane that live in town for dinner at Waterbar. The company, the restaurant, the food, especially the table were great as was the service.

I don’t do pictures too often but this one taken in the hotel lobby with the bar in the background. I bought the Moto jacket this last summer but had the skirt already and fortunately the zippers matched.

HIGH HEEL COMFORT

I have been wearing high heels for many years and pretty much putting up with the pain along with having my foot look like a boat when I take them off . My toes are smashed together in a triangle like the bow of a boat and bent upward until I walk a few feet barefoot. A couple of years ago I discovered Vivian Lou Insoles which are shown in the picture below.

The clear gel pad going from the arch to just shy of the heel shifts you weight back from the ball of your foot to the heel more evenly distributing it.

Vivian Lou insoles help a great deal but the old ice trick makes the shoes even more comfortable. I wrote about this a couple of years ago on my other site www.chicladies.org but have recently made a discovery that makes it even better. I was getting ready to go to a Vanity Club outing in Atalanta and had two new pairs of pumps to wear.

I inserted the zip lock plastic bags with the corner deep into the toe of each shoe pushing it in with my finger making sure it was all the way in. Then I filled the bags about a third of the way full with water and put them in the freezer over night. I did this three times on one shoe and the other needed a fourth time putting them on in between to check the fit. When the water froze each night it expanded gently stretching the shoe a little each time. The shoes pictured above are satin but the ones I did multiple times were black kid and black patent leather.

Give it a try it really works!

SUMMER CROSSDRESSING

For many crossdresser’s summer means presenting a fuzzier version of your girly self opting for pants to cover your legs instead of skirts. For married crossdresser’s sometimes it is not optional and it is best to comply. Shaved legs might not bother the crossdresser but wives have very valid concerns. Bare legs would be obvious and she would probably decline invitations for BBQ’s and other outdoor activities which is not fair to her not to mention if  kids are involved.

Depending where you live the summer might only last a couple of weeks and then you can go back to your smooth hairless look. Trust me your lady will really appreciate it and besides most women these days are wearing jeans or some other form of long pants so this is your chance to look CHIC.

In my case she is not the one who decides my  stopping shaving my legs and other areas. I am an outdoor person and enjoy outdoor sports and other activities during the summer months. I want to enjoy myself without being concerned about people noticing shaved legs.

Don’t get me wrong I think about dressing the whole summer time but, when the weather cools and the days grow shorter there is a little bounce in my step that turns into a sway once the heels go on. I usually have a little coming  out party sort of by taking a trip to San Francisco for a couple of days shopping and partying en fem. Immersion therapy I call it after my summer dry spell.

For those who share my situation cheer up it won’t be too much longer and can still shop online during summer.

Counting down with you,

Micki

FEMININE CURVES FOR CROSSDRESSER’S

CLCRV LOGOClassic Curves International

This new shapewear garment is the next evolution of the Veronica line! It’s an outstanding piece of work as the testimony from Robyn Michaels states.

V6-1

I cannot begin to tell you how I much I love the new Veronica 6 Open Bottom Girdle.  But I will try!

v6_h200

I love the romance and feminine glamour of vintage fashions from the 1950s and 1960s, especially my preference for wearing garter style stockings rather than pantyhose or thigh highs.  The new Veronica 6 has everything girls like us could want with an open bottom girdle.  The six garters keep the seams of my vintage nylon stockings nice and straight which is important for making a good impression when out clubbing and dancing the night away.  And the visual effect that the padding provides makes every dress style that much more alluring and feminine.

V6-3

And I must admit to a greater sense of confidence in my appearance when wearing the Veronica 6 when out at more public places like restaurants and events.  Even women take notice of the “curves in all the right places”.  And the look is very “natural” and not artificial looking at all.  The attention to detail (delicate lace trim at the hem of the girdle) also was noticed and greatly appreciated by a gentleman admirer who appreciates a girl who dresses to impress.

The Veronica 6 open bottom girdle is pin-up perfect, too!  Classic glamour from Classic Curves International…what more could I ask for?

STANCE COMPACT TRIPOD FOR IPHONE

I discovered this little gem the other day and will be trying it out on my San Francisco outing soon. The remote is Bluetooth wireless and I will be testing how far away it will work.

I like the fact that it is compact and light weight while being machined from aluminum for durability.

Remote

This way instead of designing a 10 foot selfie stick I can take pictures from that distance with this remote. I love the way I look from 10 or 20 feet away.

Fox Caitlyn Jenner Interview April 24th

news-caitlyn-jenner

Monday April 24th Caitlyn Jenner will be on the Tucker Carlson show at 8:00pm.

I will definitely  be watching both to see how Tucker approaches this subject on his inaugural show for this time slot and Caitlyns answers now that she is post op.

Caitlyn’s decision to transition is her business and I hope she finds happiness in life.

What concerns me is something she may not have any control over unless she specifically addresses it which, is her being a spokesperson or representative of the Transgender Community. This I fear is the easy route for the media because Caitlyn is definitely the most recognized Trans person in the world. Simply put her story is not everyone’s story that they conveniently list under the Transgender label. There are many of us with no interest in SRS and have put our dressing in a place where it is working for us. We are heterosexual crossdresser’s most married with family’s who dress one or two times a month and that is it. I hope they mention the different groups under that Transgender label.

I have seen many positive changes as a result of Caitlin’s going public one of which is a generally more acceptable feeling with the public. People seem to have a more accepting attitude towards me when I am dressed out in public. When transgender is the topic people are more positive aside from the women’s bathroom issue. Maybe they think we are all former Olympic Gold medalists? NOT!

If it was somehow up to me to decide who should be the official spokesperson for our community I can think of no better representative than Caitlyn Jenner. I might not agree with every position she may take but I think she is doing good things for us as a rule.

I will be watching Monday night and hope the interview has a positive impact on our community.

DIVA LAS VEGAS 2017

For the first time in a long time I decided to attend a crossdresser function and chose the Diva Las Vegas event this year. I have never been big on the idea of going out dressed in Las Vegas fearing rowdy and obnoxious drunks harassing me. Friends who have gone out there told me not to worry there is no problem dressing in Vegas. My friend Ashley knows the town well and got us a great rate at the beautiful Palazzo Hotel. I have stayed there before so now I was worried that instead of drunks it would be stuffy people staring and pointing at us but, it was no problem at all. Even having a drink at the bar by myself was no problem nor were there staff at Aquanox and Del Monaco’s restaurants.

The crowds on the street paid us no mind and the staff at Macy’s, Dillards, and Nordstrom’s were great as were the ladies at the MAC counter. None of my fears came to fruition and I had a great time picking up some bargains after trying them on.

We only signed up for the night time activities at Diva doing our own thing during the day which included shopping en fem and golf in DRAB. We take golf seriously so we don’t dress as ladies for that activity. To be honest we don’t act like them either.

Two of our sisters from CHIC also attended but, being their first crossdressing outing they went for the whole enchilada so we only saw them at night. It was fun watching them go full throttle experiencing everything that was going on.

The DVLV format takes some getting used to if you are accustomed to the typical conference/convention format where schedules are fixed and pretty much all the activities are held in the convention area of a host hotel. There is no vendor area, seminars, speakers or vendors at the event but there is no cost either for the event. Some events have a cost but you only pay for those if you sign up for them. Instead there is shopping for whatever you want in town and the DVLG website gives you a list of places by category along with guidance on what to expect from them.

The event is held at various locations all over Las Vegas and there are three hotels participating from downtown to the strip to serve every budget. Of course, you can stay where ever you wish if you have a favorite hotel.

You choose which activities that are of interest and sign up for them online before the event starts. They have a group text that goes out to everyone that signed up for it where you can have reminders sent to your phone for your activities an hour ahead of time as I did.

There were crossdressers from New Zealand and Canada attending and I am sure other countries as well. I am not sure what the total number of attendees but it was over 100 for sure.

The organizers did a good job of taking care of the details and it was a fun time for everyone with no problems. From what I could see the public seemed to have no issues with the crossdressers and the hotels, bars, restaurants etc. were very accommodating to everyone.

The pictures from the event this year will be up shortly and you can see them and find out more about Diva Las Vegas here http://divalas.vegas/ You can sign up for their mailing list and find out about next year’s DVLV 2018.
