CROSSDRESSING ISOLATION

CROSSDRESSING ISOLATION

Crossdressing isolation is common in most of our stories but the pandemic has exacerbated the problem. For us more seasoned crossdressers it was especially hard having known it growing up. Then finally letting the genie out of the bottle later in life. Now with the pandemic we were being thrust back into the bottle again. Crossdresser isolation for younger people was possibly worse because they did not know what to expect. They were being shoved into the bottle for the first time.

Besides the not crossdressing there was the lack of socializing in general because of the shutdowns. losing human interaction impact is still being calculated especially with the younger less mature kids. Social gatherings were difficult if not impossible even with family members.

Crossdressing isolation was less of a problem for my sorority sisters in CHIC who are a crafty bunch. We only missed two club meetings the entire pandemic because restaurants in Long beach reopened with the same restrictions everyone else had. They would not do groups larger than 6 people and had outside seating only. So three of us made reservations for 6 people each at the same time with no problems until we showed up. The manager figured out that something must be up when 12 crossdressers and 6 wives show up at the same time. Not to mention that they instantly became friends chatting their heads off. Tonya asked if we could be seated together but he refused saying that would be an illegal group. Even though there were about 20 other diners on the patio seated at tables of four we did not push it.

CHIC had to cancel our Christmas Party like everyone else that year but member Tonya was determined to pass out the gifts she bought for everyone. She was wearing a long coat most of the evening until she started playing Santa Baby on a recorder. She then dropped the coat to reveal her Santa Clause dress and put on her hat.

That broke the ice with the civilian customers seated on the patio with us. From then on it was 3 crossdresser groups combined with 20 civilians for a total party. Crossdresser isolation was a bit more manageable after that night and we were fortunate to have so many restaurants in Long Beach with outside dining.

Unfortunately crossdressing isolation never improves for those who never go out. They settle for dressing alone in the basement. Some are lucky enough to dress in a hotel room when traveling on business but its still a lonely existence. Some are married and have never told their wives out of fear she will leave while others have a DADT (Don’t ask don’t tell) arrangement. Still others have an agreement with the wife to lie to her about the CD’s outings. I read a post on Kandi’s Land blog yesterday where lying and DADT were being discussed. It reminded me how lucky I am. My wife has known since we met and has been on many trips with me to conventions and weekend trips with other couples.

Thinking about the subject prompted me to add some content to my CROSSDRESSER HUSBAND page. I thought it might be helpful for wives to know that crossdressers have many interests other than girly stuff. Crossdressing is only a part of them and there is much more going on that is more mainstream. The wife who reads that page is going to have to believe me. I knew all of the people whose occupations and sports that I reference on the page. I have found it truly fascinating over the years that so many of these guys have done and do such cool stuff. The fun thing is nobody who knows them would ever guess they wore dresses. After seeing them in civilian clothes and then dressed as a woman I know I know more crossdressers than I am aware of. I would never have suspected any of these guys crossdressed. I’m betting the same goes for all of us especially the wives. They may have known one at work or school and had no clue.

I hope possibly if a wife reads my page she will gain something from it that helps in some way.

Enjoy,

CROSSDRESSER PERCEPTIONS

CROSSDRESSER PERCEPTIONS

Crossdresser perceptions go both ways which is to say how we perceive those we interact with along with how they in turn perceive us. The Friday before our monthly CHIC meeting I went to dinner with my BFF Ashley at a restaurant in Orange County California. Historically we have avoided it for many years because Orange County was a pretty conservative area and we felt uncomfortable going there. We did not really know what the crossdresser’s perception would be with the mainstream clientele conservative or not. We went once before in November and it went well so we did it again this month.

Photo of Spaghettini - Seal Beach, CA, United States. Welcome to Spaghettini!  We can't wait to serve you.

I arrived by myself via UBER very early and was cheerfully greeted by the hostesses using all the proper pronouns. That is notable in that I always use my male voice when dressed. The hostesses took it all in stride and continued calling me Mam. They offered to seat me early in the area that I had requested on my reservation but I declined. I sat in the chair pictured lower right side above on a busy Friday night. I got to see the public’s crossdresser perception of me. Those who reacted were positive and those who didn’t seemed indifferent going about their business. Its safe to say everybody notices me because I dress for myself so its way different from casual California lifestyle.

Not many women wear a black velvet suit with an embroidered flower on the jacket and high heels on a Friday night. I think their crossdresser perception of me was positive regardless if they approve. I got several compliments on my outfit from women I encountered. Our server was very attentive without being a bother and did not rush us to order or leave after dinner.

Saturday night was the CHIC meeting at one of our regular places in Long Beach and we had a private room so crossdresser perception wasn’t possible. I have been there so many times I don’t even think about it because its predictable. The crowd is getting younger as time goes on and they are typically more accepting of crossdressers. Should the the they have any questions the restaurant owner and his staff know all of us very well and can fill them in on our story. I requested outside dinning because some in our group are very concerned with the Omicron. They moved us inside to a private room. The high for the day was 61 and the low expected in mid 40’s which in Long Beach. That can be very cold being just blocks from the ocean.

The picture above was taken in the lounge section of the room we were in Saturday night. My wife has been encouraging me to stop wearing so much black so I wore brown tones this month.

Crossdressing in public has come a long way over the years and the perception of us has changed to a far more positive one. Myself and the other ladies of CHIC always try to present the best possible image when out in public.

Have fun!

PUBLIC CROSSDRESSING

PUBLIC CROSSDRESSING

Public crossdressing is being done more and more as CD’s become increasingly comfortable being seen in the open. Years ago most preferred the relative safety of Gay bars or DRAG clubs. Pretty much all of my dressing is done at mainstream venues whether they be stores, restaurants or bars. The world is pretty tolerant if not accepting of crossdressers now especially the younger folks.

PUBLIC CROSSDRESSING FOR DINNER

This month our Friday night group went from 7 to 4 because of last minute scheduling conflicts. I arrived first and opted to sit in the bar so I could people watch. It was a bit cool to sit outside and you see eveyone that comes in. The owner Mario is an old friend and came to sit with me until the others arrived. We talked about how long he has known our club CHIC along with his successful restaurant. It has been 25 years since we started doing public crossdressing at his first restaurant and he expressed his gratitude for our support over those years. I thanked him for being there for us too. Many a beginner went to his restaurant for their first outing en fem and was made to feel comfortable. We have gone to his restaurants through good times and bad and are especially enjoying his current success.

PUBLIC CROSSDRESSING WITH THE PUBLIC

Many times I have walked into a restaurant alone public crossdressing to rendezvous with friends and had patrons take notice of me. Most don’t have too much reaction some smiling while others sort of take it in then look away. Some though give kind of a WHAT IS THAT DOING HERE look then check to see if others noticed me also. My favorite outcome to this situation is when the bartenders and servers notice I have arrived and great me warmly by name. Often if the owner is around they come over and shake hands or hug me again calling me by name. The reason its my favorite public crossdressing is the negative folks figure out the only person with a problem with this crossdresser is them so maybe they are the one out of step.

 SATURDAY NIGHT

Saturday night we had a much bigger group for dinner with 18 club members total. Our group was seated upstairs due to our size but it worked out well because we had the whole upper level. The only drawback was upstairs is all booths so we were in many small groups. Around 10 PM most went on their way but a few of us descended the stairs to the bar for more cocktails and public crossdressing. Once in the bar seating was scarce so I went to the ladies room to freshen up and get ready for a picture.

public crossdressing

When I left the restroom I had to walk behind the owner who was seated at the end. I did not want him to back into me when I said hello so once directly behind him I put my hands on each of his upper arms then said hi in my deepest Trace Atkins voice. He spun around laughing and shook my hand vigorously asking how I was doing. I said great chatted for just a minute and moved on to my group. A few minutes later my folks were commenting on some guys who rolled their eyes and said some negative things about our group. The bartender heard it and was upset then spoke with the owner. The next thing I knew two of the three left and the one left behind felt bad and wanted to buy us a round of drinks. The owner told them we did not need his drinks and just to be nice.

PUBLIC CROSSDRESSING SUCCESS

It is important in closing to note that each of the restaurants mentioned above are places I have gone public crossdressing to for decades. The relationships with owners and staff are based respect for them and their business. We always dress appropriately, act lady like, spend lots of money and tip well. We are never loud, obnoxious, crude or do anything that could negatively impact the business.

LAS VEGAS HALLOWEEN CROSSDRESSING

LAS VEGAS CROSSDRESSING

Crossdressing in Las Vegas for Halloween is something I dreamed of as a kid but was afraid for many years. That all changed about 20 years ago when a few of us took a chance on San Francisco being tolerant or possibly accepting of us. They were and we went back every year since until this 2020 when COVID 19 got in the way. Friends there advised against doing it this year so we opted for Las Vegas Crossdressing instead. We spent three nights there and had a wonderful time masks and all dinning at great restaurants and shopping during the day. The weather was amazing with the high at 80 and the lows around 60.

NIGHT #1 THE PALM RESTAURANT

The first night we went to The Palm restaurant at the Forum Shops in Caesar’s Palace. Great food and service and we were treated like ladies seated in a nice booth with a view of everything. For my first night of Las Vegas Crossdressing I wore my new zebra skirt that fit perfectly. I paired it with a black zippered jacket I already had. The Micki Finn mask is real not Photo Shopped I had it made for the trip.

NIGHT #2 DELMONICO’S

The second night was at Delmonico’s Steakhouse between the Venetian Hotel where I was staying and the Palazzo where Ashley stayed. Delmonico’s is a favorite every time we go to Vegas not just for the food and service but the location also. We were seated at a great table next to the wine room with a nice view of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, fun and did not rush us through the dinner.

CROSSDRESSING LAS VEGAS

Trips for Las Vegas Crossdressing always include lots of walking long distances on hard tile floors for the most part . That’s why I pack my fold-able ballet slippers in my purse and change a short distance from my destination. This night I opted for my leopard jacket over a sleeveless dress. I forgot to have Ashley take a picture of me at the restaurant so I had to take this one in my suite on the timer.

NIGHT #3 COSTA di MARE

Our last night a special occasion because of Halloween and we were in Vegas so we went to a new restaurant. It is the Costa di Mare located in the Wynn Hotel and was exceptional. It was quite possibly the best food and service I have ever had. Although it came at a price similar to the GDP of a small country. The hostess gave us a choice of taking the elevator or the stairs and I jumped on the elevator. I wish I had taken the stairs because it is the grand entrance to the lower level dinning room. We took the elevator option because the black patent pumps I was wearing were 4.5 inches tall. I ordered them by mistake and love them but they are too high for Vegas. I did not want to make my Las Vegas Crossdressing entrance going end over end down the stairs.

Our servers were terrific with a head waiter showing us the large fish cart displaying the fresh catch of whole fish, lobster, scallops, and octopus. We opted for the chefs recommendation that was a assortment of items from the cart. The fish we selected was a mild flaky salt water fish carved perfectly by one of our servers. Neither of us found a bone on our plates. Ashley talked me into giving octopus another try after my Hawaiian experience years ago. Selecting it from a buffet I chewed for half an hour on what seemed like an inter-tube! Costa di Mare sold me on octopus because it was tender and very flavorful. I guess the buffet is not the best place to get it.

The Wynn had more security than any other hotel on the strip putting us through electronic wand sensors and purse searches. There has been some violence on the strip in recent weeks so they are on the lookout for problems. Most of what I have read about was late at night so I was not too concerned. One takeaway from the experience is that the American people want their life back! The Strip was packed the streets, the casino’s, the restaurants, and even the Showtime Mall across the street. Everybody everywhere was wearing a mask which, was mandatory so I guess people are sick of staying locked up.

Already planning the next trip!

Enjoy

CROSSDRESSING BALANCE

Crossdressing balance came into mind this week for several reasons so I thought I would write something on it. Everybody has to balance family time with work time along with other pursuits and crossdressing is no exception. Summer typically results in a crossdressing imbalance for some because warm weather and shorts preclude shaving legs for many. In addition there are lots of activities that crowd out gurly time. Personally I re balance my crossdressing mid September when I try to makeup for lost time dressing during summer. The hair comes off in two weeks and travel plans are being made so next is packing my outfits.

CROSSDRESSING BALANCE

There is more to crossdressing balance than hairy summers in shorts and the beach though. While crossdressing is important its not my only interest hence the need to balance it with the other activities. I just returned from another Duke & Rocco adventure that involved and out of state golfing trip with my BFF Ashley AKA Rocco. I use the name Duke. We traveled through four states playing 5 great golf courses in the process. We have known each other for 30 years after meeting at a Texas “T” Party at lunch with our wives. Since that time we have become great friends and belong to the same crossdressing club.

BALANCING THE CROSSDRESSING

Ashley gets out dressed more than I do because my crossdressing always involves traveling so cost and time are a factor. I achieve crossdressing balance by setting aside a long weekend each month that coincides with the monthly CHIC get together. I can dress 24/7 during that weekend but typically don’t preferring evening over daytime dressing. The exception is when we do a Las Vegas or San Francisco trip where gurly shopping moves up in priority. Its not that we don’t play golf we just alternate golf in the morning followed by dressing that night. The next day we shop en fem followed by dressing, dinner and many times a show. You can see the balance golf, gurly shopping, dinner & show.

COMPARMENTALIZING YOUR CROSSDRESSING

Crossdressing balance and compartmentalization also apply to myself and others I have known. In my case I compartmentalize my crossdressing with an all or nothing mind set. If I am going to crossdress it is all of nothing dressed completely head to toe. Its once a month and fully dressed or not at all. I know others who wear panties or other women’s garments under their male attire to work or other daily activities. They say its the feeling or sensation of the garment against their skin they enjoy. Me too but, its just going to make me want to dress so I avoid wearing them.

Wives and girlfriends also appreciate balance and compartmentalization because it gives them a better insight into what is going on and what to expect. It also lets them plan around or with your activity.

CROSSDRESSER NEWS

CROSSDRESSER TRAVELS

It’s been a little while since I posted anything because I have been having too good a time traveling and dressing. Sometimes both at the same time which is always fun and sometimes exciting like my last CHIC dinner in Long Beach. I got ready early because I wanted to take some pictures before going out which deviated from my normal routine. So after getting absorbed with photo fun I realized I had to get going or I would be late for dinner which I was in charge of coordinating. I shut everything down and after summoning UBER I walked out of my room. As my door closed behind me I instantly knew the room key was on the night stand, not in my purse. It’s been years since I have had this happen which I attribute to my routine but I deviated. I opted to continue on to the dinner and deal with the key issue later when there would not be so many people around the Marriott front lobby desk.

The dinner was fun and we stayed a little longer than usual with some of us going to the bar for more drinks. I bid my friends farewell not long after because I had a golf game the next day and needed to be sharp. UBER showed up on time so I was off to me (mam/sir) moment with the night manager. When I walked up to the desk a young fellow greeted me with a hello mam can I help you. I replied in Dukes voice that I left my key in the room and needed another to which he replied with a request for my name and ID. After providing both he looked at my ID handed me a duplicate key and said “good evening sir” I knew it was coming and replied thanks you too.

WEBSITE UPDATES

After having some conversations with the new President of CHIC it was decided that their site needed some updating. I agreed to do it and ended up changing the whole direction of the site with a new format without the blog. I think it is better now with a cleaner look and the addition of the club logo along with the member testimonials. You can check it out at the CHIC website . I had so much fun that I did my website as you can see with a different look and for the first time an official logo.

Enjoy,

HALLOWEEN CROSSDRESSING

CAPTAIN MORGANA?

Halloween crossdressing is a favorite for the men dressed like women community  regardless of your preferred label.  Halloween is considered the national holiday of crossdressers everywhere. This year I chose the pirate costume and took the name Captain Morgana.

The Halloween crossdressing party was again this year at Wanda & Susan’s house again.  The members of CHIC gathered in their costumes from spooky or fun to sexy cat women for a fun evening. My wife picked this outfit for me this year and it fit great. The hat leather leggings and the bottle of Captain Morgan spiced rum was my touch.

PRE HALLOWEEN CROSSDRESSING FUN

Wanda lives some distance from our normal Long Beach haunts so some of us get hotels close to her house for the weekend. That leaves us an opportunity for Friday night fun or what we refer to as the FB4. Micki & Wanda at Agostinos Friday night you can see more pictures of Wanda’s adventures HERE.

This time I chose Augostino’s Ristorante Italiano for the dinner of nine ladies.  It is located across Pacific Coast Highway in Capistrano Beach and they treated us great. To say we were overdressed is an understatement with it being a casual beach restaurant no Halloween crossdressing.

Augostino’s closes at ten but we are just getting started so we went two doors down to the Sunset Grill for some cocktails and dancing for a few of the brave gurls.

We sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze and sipped Cosmo’s listening to the DJ while watching the ladies dance. Once again we were severely overdressed but they did not mind or maybe they just thought we were Halloween crossdressing!

One thing that has definitively changed over the last twenty years is the public acceptance of who we are. People are treating us very well in most cases. It is just a matter of educating them and showing we are worthy of their respect and actually pretty fun if given a chance. This was evident when our gurls invaded the dance floor and the women already dancing turned around and started dancing with them.

Happy Halloween!

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE SYSTEM

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE

Crossdresser face tape is not new and I have written previously about my technique. I recently discovered a tape system online and gave it a try and I love it. Rather than using strips of tape sticking to my head band this system uses rubber strips with sticky tapes on the ends. It is not designed as a crossdresser face tape particularly. It is designed for women but because we wear wigs it actually works better for us.

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPING

This crossdresser face taping system works very well and starts by wiping your temples with alcohol to remove the oil and dirt from your skin. The don’t call for it but I dab New Skin liquid bandage over the cleaned surface once the alcohol evaporates. The I peel off the paper cover on one of the tabs and stick it to my temple pressing firmly. Then I stretch the band over my head to the opposite temple and press it on. The rubber center section of the band maintains a constant upward pressure  lifting your eyes, face and neck. It is in the eyes of the beholder but I think it takes 10 to 20 years off.

NECK TAPING

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE

Hopefully you don’t have the dreaded Turkey Neck but it pretty much comes with age male or female. For those of us with a little left after the crossdresser face tape we have crossdresser neck tape. I use the alcohol and New Skin process I described for the face tape. This time you place the crossdresser neck tape on the back of your neck in line with your jaw line.

CROSSDRESSER FACE TAPE

Go slow at first with either process because it you pull too much the tape will actually tear your skin. Blistering may be a better description as the top layer of skin separates from the lower layers.

CROSSDRESSING SEASON

DITCH THE PANTS!

Crossdressing season

Crossdressing season has arrived and its time to end my summer crossdressing. Whats the difference? I ditch the pants, shave my legs and arms, put on a skirt and enjoy the feeling!

CROSSDRESSING SEASON VS. SUMMER CROSSDRESSING

During the summer I am very active in outdoor activities with family and friends with shorts being the daily wardrobe for me. Long pants are a rarity even for dinners out. It is more comfortable for both my wife an I not to have to answer questions about my lack of hair. Labor Day is the turning point and not long after I groom for girly mode and put the shorts away until spring.

Crossdressing season is something I naturally look forward to all summer but I get by with slacks and of course heels during that time. It does not compare to feeling the breeze blow against my shaved legs over my stockings. I don’t think there is a better feeling of femininity for me aside from hearing my heels clicking on the tile or concrete. Makeup is great but once I finish doing my hair it is only noticeable to me when periodically checking it throughout the evening.

Crossdressing season typically runs from September to June however shopping season runs year round. I never stop looking for things to fill out my crossdressing wardrobe.

TRAVELING “T” GURL

Crossdressing season is when I do most of my traveling for my crossdressing adventures. This year I am very excited about a trip to Washington D.C. for  a Vanity Club event in September. This year two of my CHIC sisters have become Vanity Club sisters and will be pinned at the D.C. event.

I started shopping weeks ago for my trip wardrobe and will start packing my outfits shortly. The jewelry boxes are out and I am picking just the right accessories for each evening.

CROSSDRESSER WIFE SUPPORT

CROSSDRESSER WIFE

Crossdresser wife support for your dressing is truly a gift. My wife has always been a great help with my crossdressing even though she chose not to actively participate in the beginning. Wigs, makeup, shoes, outfits and accessories are areas she has helped me with. Most things I willingly accepted but the short wig took decades for me to buy into.

Crossdressing  Wig

My wig style was pretty much shoulder length through most of my dressing career. Like a caring  crossdresser wife support she was constantly suggesting the shorter ones but I never liked how they looked on me. That changed a couple of years ago when we returned to our hotel from the CHIC Christmas Party. She took off the short wig that she was wearing and asked me to put it on. She wanted to  see how it looked on me as it was a complimentary color. I knew what she was up to but put it on anyway. She teased it up a little higher than she wore it and the look on my face said it all. I loved the way it looked but, the wig cap was too small for me. The two wins for her was I now was ready to explore the Micki in short hair concept along with she one the argument.

Godiva’s Wigs

I was fortunate to discover Godiva’s Secret Wigs online because they are great quality and come in large cap sizes. I have purchased several large cap wigs from them but what I call a short wig they refer to as medium which, refers to the length. The two wigs below come in large cap size but are medium length.

For a Traveling T Girl like myself there is a wonderful advantage to these wigs. I pack them in a large zip lock freezer bag with the wig turned inside out. When I arrive at the hotel I open them up, hold them upside down by the tag and shake hard 3 times. I style them later when I go out with my long fingernails. It only takes a couple of minutes and has cut down my time getting ready.

On trips where my wife accompanies me she takes over on the styling which always looks better than mine but, she has been at it longer.

She has also bought me numerous Betty Boop figures over the years because she knows Betty was my first love as a child.

Crossdresser wife support

Maybe Betty was the influence that made me dress in the 1st place.

If so,

Thanks Betty!
