Over the years I have attended a number of crossdresser conventions and some had an option to wear formal dresses on the big farewell Saturday night. I don’t remember the number of crossdressers who wore formals but it was well below fifty percent. Those of us that did were in heaven all night long and looked forward to the next convention.
To my knowledge other than the Night Of A 1000 Gowns nobody has ever done a stand alone formal dinner event for crossdressers. Paulette who I know from DIVA Las Vegas and I got to talking about how much fun we thought it would be to get an intimate group of people together and put on a formal dinner for us crossdressers. That is how La Bella was conceived and it took place this last April.

What an incredible night we had with 32 lovely ladies from six states all decked out in floor length formal gowns. A special bonus was having 1/3 of those attending were wives or significant others. L ‘Opera Italian Restaurant in downtown Long Beach was chosen for the event. The La Scala room downstairs was our home for the night with our own private bar.

After descending the stairs and entering the room everyone was given a glass of champagne in their very own La Bella 24 champagne glass with the logo etched on it to commemorate the occasion.

Nestled in the corner as you entered the room my friend Elle Choate entertained everyone with her harp music played on her beautiful harp.

It was wonderful having so many spouses attending and supporting their crossdressers so in recognition of their contributions. Just before dinner they were presented with 14K gold plated real roses as a thank you for support.

We mixed it up pretty good and many new friendships were made over the weekend. A truly memorable experience for everyone who attended.
