Well sometimes stuff just does not go as planned so you just have to lean forward and get through it. I arrived in Las Vegas with the best intentions to score bid discounts on awesome gowns and dresses. The challenges started out first thing in the morning when I had to get a plumber to come fix the toilet in my room. That set me back about 45 minutes in my get ready routine. Then my wife called with a computer issue when I had only half of my makeup on. Struggled with that for an hour so lunch got sacrificed and I dined on Ms. Fields cookies instead.
Two thirty I finally arrive at the mall and head for Dillard’s to begin the hunt. I scored some very promising necklaces that I will cut down into earrings and bracelets so my spirits are high. Unfortunately that was the high point of my shopping cuz I did not find anything to my liking the rest of the day.
Other than some wind the evening started off better and improved as it went on when I arrived at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse not far from my hotel.

I was warmly greeted by the hostess who noted that I had requested a booth in the bar area which was almost ready. I waited a short time at the bar then she came for me giving me a booth under the last chandelier in the picture on the right. My steak was perfectly cooked and I could not finish after the srimp cocktail, honey bread and twice baked truffle potato’s. The pinot noir my server suggestion was awesome and reasonable priced to boot.
The hostess was kind enough to take this picture of me at the bar just before I left.

The next I went back to meet Michelle a local gal and Vanity Club sister for drinks and some friendly chatting. It’s been a while since we had an opportunity to visit while listening to the live entertainment at the Piazza room at the Tuscany hotel.

We called it a night around 11:30 and so went the first day of my Las Vegas shopping excursion.
