When I started CROSSDRESSERSONLY.COM with the goal of having a place where people could get information on crossdressing and only crossdressing I did not expect to get much help. I just wanted people to know that we existed, were alive and well, and maybe were a better fit than what was under the Transgender Umbrella for you. I certainly did not anticipate what I found when I started doing some research for a post intended for both mickifinn.com and crossdressersonly.com. Now, I would love to say that all of the AI services below discovered my websites and that shaped their definitions but that would be wishful thinking. I will just have to be content knowing that people searching for definitions for crossdressing are getting the responses below which is perfect in my opinion.

FROM EDGE CO PILOT
“Crossdresser” is a broad, non‑clinical term that simply refers to someone who wears clothing traditionally associated with a different gender. That’s it — no built‑in assumptions about sexuality, identity, or intentions. People crossdress for all kinds of reasons:
🌟 Common motivations
- Self‑expression — exploring different aspects of style or personality
- Comfort — some people just like how certain clothes feel
- Performance — drag, cosplay, theater
- Gender exploration — trying out gender presentation in a low‑stakes way
- Aesthetic enjoyment — appreciating fashion across gender lines
🌈 What it doesn’t mean
- It does not automatically indicate someone is transgender.
- It does not imply anything about sexual orientation.
- It does not mean someone wants to transition.
It’s simply a behavior, not an identity unless someone chooses to make it one.
If you want, we can go deeper — history, psychology, fashion, cultural differences, or even how society’s view of crossdressing has evolved. Where would you like to take the conversation next?

So ladies feel free to call yourselves crossdressers again or for you younger folks maybe the first time if you feel the term fits. The important difference between Crossdressing and the other labels is that it is an event of limited duration that repeats depending on the individuals motivation. The term putting the genie back in the bottle accurately describes the event for some of us although some use a locked trunk in the garage. If someone gives you ant guff just send them here or have them Google it using AI to educate themselves.
I stumbled on an interesting clip from the Phil Donahue Show in the way back machine on YouTube that I will be covering on my next post so be watching for it. It deals with Transvestites and Crossdressing along with some other folks that made for interesting television before the internet and even Oprah!

This is perfect Micki and much appreciated!
