I think all crossdressers start from the same place with similar attraction and experimentation wearing female clothing. Some never move beyond the closet or basement stage while others launch into a whole new world of adventure. One thing is for sure which is once you have discovered confident crossdressing you never go back. I know in my case it has been a long road from those initial forays into the fem world with nobody home and borrowed clothing to Shania Twain concerts in Las Vegas.
CONFIDENT CROSSDRESSING EVOLOUTION
It has been an amazing journey from those early days sneaking around as a teenager to venturing out like a mouse at midnight to desolate places when everyone was asleep. Then parties at private homes with some Gay bars filling in the schedule when homes were not available. The next big step to confident crossdressing was the conventions of the 1990’s where long time friendships were born. As the century turned we became more acceptable to the mainstream public and new adventures were possible.
My public exposure and confident crossdressing accelerated from the year 2000 to 2020 when our group started making regular trips to San Francisco. The level of acceptance I encountered from pronouns, to being invited by the Macys and Nordstrom sales associate to try on dresses in the fitting room. Everywhere we went we were treated like ladies and had a fabulous time taking my confident crossdressing to a new level but San Francisco was more accepting than most places.
Now for me it is Las Vegas where I am making so many great memories like the final night of my most recent trip there. It was a Sunday night so I figured I would go to Piero’s one of my favorite classy restaurants in town where I have always enjoyed acceptance along with great food and service there. This night would be very different though for several reasons the first of which was my server Mika (a guy) who has a great sense of humor. We made each other laugh and it made the night fun.
I was seated at in a booth where I could see about half of the people in the room and on my right were three women having dinner. They were nicely dressed and looked to be 3 generations of the same family 20ish 40ish and maybe mid fifties. I observed them but never made eye contact so I was surprised when Mika told me they wanted to buy me a glass of wine. I asked Mika why and he did not know so I accepted and said I would like to thank them to which Mika said he would take care of that. When I looked over at them they did not look back just continued their conversation.
Not long after they paid the bill and walked in front of me as they left and I smiled and mouthed thank you to each of them. Each smiled back as the passed and that was it so I am not sure why they bought me the wine. I guess maybe they were impressed with my confident crossdressing and appreciated the way I was dressed. Then again possibly they have a crossdresser in their family and knew it would make my night and it did!

It was a new level of acceptance for me as a very confident crossdresser.

Hi Micki
You and I both know Confidence is extremely important, as you know I am not short in that area , and like you I have never met a Stranger, I know it helps once people recognize that you are confident and act like you belong it becomes much easier, people also accept you
Susie
Hi Susie,
I could not agree more you gotta act like you belong where ever you are!
Hi Micki, Maybe, just maybe, they did not know, realize, that you were a crossdresser at all, but thought you were a single GG! Regardless, a nice gesture to gift wine, and a nice evening for sure. Also, you always look terrific and provide inspiring stories.
Thanks Marissa. I think if I fooled them the would have said something.
Hi Micki,
I can hardly wait to venture out solo for the first time. Meeting weekly with my Arizona Cactus Flowers girlfriends has given me a lot of confidence, but I’m not satisfied with my makeup. Hopefully after a couple a sessions w/Amy, next week at Diva LV, I’ll be on a better path to being my beautiful self😃
Do you have any info on the Halloween Party in Palm Springs as I will in SoCal
the last week in Oct. and haven’t been able to get registered or info?
Thanks
Ginger🌸
Hi Ginger,
I know Paulette of ACF has contacts for that party and also some people attending but no details. Does Arizona Cactus Flowers have a website yet?
Best,
Micki
