Mickifinn.com is humming along now that I am back with my original hosting company so I don’t have it taking up a lot of my time. Consequently I was able to complete work on the CHIC 50 website and am currently working on a more detailed history of the club along with some background context. To tell the story correctly it is important to accurately paint a picture of how crossdressing was perceived by society in 1975. That environment which is nothing like it is in 2023 gives important insight into the challenges the original founders faced. The principals established and valued by the original and future members have kept the club going for almost 50 years. In the mid 1990’s there were a total of 6 crossdresser clubs in Southern California. In 2023 CHIC is the one that survived.

I have a year to complete the documentation and am getting help from some long time members so it will be fun and enlightening to learn more even though I have been a member for over 30 years. The focus being on fun monthly outings is the priority so focusing on the history is turning out to be rewarding.
The La Bella invitational formal event is coming together nicely also and I hope to score a new gown after New Years on sale. It’s not that I need one with several in my closet already but the fun and excitement of searching, trying on, buying and then looking forward to the big event.

I spoke of it before what my initial reaction to wearing a formal was and it is interesting how many ladies out there have similar stories. I just read one on Crossdresser Heaven who had an almost identical story. Once she took the plunge and donned a sequined gown it was all over and resistance was futile. She was admittedly hooked and looking for the next opportunity to see her elegant reflection in the mirror.
CHIC members at the Christmas party below this year are enthusiastic gown lovers for sure.

I always dreamed about going to an elegant New Years Eve party in a formal so maybe someday it will come.

u do good things Micki !!
Any chance you might be in Vegas at the end of February? There is a show (trade show) there and I would love to have friends to dress with.
Hi Lori,
February is too expensive in Vegas this year with the Super Bowl and other stuff.
Have fun,
Micki
Thanks for so much valuable and inspiring information and adventures.
