When I say crossdressing zone I am not referring to where to park your car or sit down. I am talking about the process of crossdressing from beginning to end which possibly many don’t think about. Thinking back over the years about conversations that I have had with people especially curious women learning about us. The question of how long it takes me to get ready is one of the first and sometimes most surprising. Decades ago it was 3 or 4 hours and could be frustrating because opportunities to dress were sporadic so mistakes were many and I was never pleased with my efforts. Therefore I agreed pretty much with the women who said getting ready was a pain. Now it is less than half of that time and I am generally happy with the results and enjoy the process completely.
Many women are surprised about when the process starts which for me is the initial planning of my adventure sometimes weeks ahead of time. We are not at the crossdressing zone yet but the early enthusiasm of getting my head into it. Once I have made the decision on where and when to go my pulse picks up a bit as I start to look forward the outing. My enthusiasm increases as the day approaches and once I am unpacked in my hotel room I kind of exhale and smile.
ENTERING THE CROSSDRESSING ZONE
The first thing I do before entering the zone is to put my phone on the charger, fire up my portable Bose speaker and select my crossdressing zone music. Its mostly ABBA’s hits but finishes with Shania Twain who also serves as my timer. If all has gone well I am going out the door when MAN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN starts to play.

With MAMA MIA playing in the background I drift gloriously into the crossdresser zone starting my makeup routine one step at a time. The steps are all on my makeup page CROSSDRESSER MAKEUP complete with pictures and products.
I always perk up a bit as I finish my eyes especially when the lashes cooperate because it is the first visible sign that the transformation to a female image is taking place. The foundation and contouring move the transition process even further and I know am feeling both happy and excited because the evening is drawing closer. I am well into the crossdressing zone at this point and there is definitely a bounce in my step.
I am at a point now where things speed up after the makeup is done and the foundation garments are being placed when Miss Micki literally starts taking shape. Putting on the dress really accentuates the female image followed by the wig which almost completes the look. This is when I carefully look over my presentation for tweaks or possible changes like a different wig color, I always bring several wigs in different shades.
With the wig topping things off its time to decorate this lady with the pre selected earrings, bracelets, and rings followed by false fingernails and a squirt of perfume. The momentum and excitement builds as the pumps slide on and the purse is double checked for wallet and room key. A final look in the mirror to appreciate the finished product followed by the crescendo as MAN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN comes through the speaker. Right on time!

The final reward and rush comes when I hear my heels clicking on the tiled floor in the hallway. Head up, shoulders back, toes pointed and a smile on my face.
