The lonely crossdresser title most likely applies or has applied to us all at some point in our lives. In my view it is better today than when I grew up thinking I was the only one on the planet. I did not have any title at all never dreaming somebody else had the same feelings. I decided to write this post not to bring attention to or bemoan my early crossdressing struggles but to highlight the ones others experience today. While I evolved into the crossdresser I am today with countless adventures under my belt leaving those struggles behind me in the process I see lonely crossdressers everyday online.

We might debate which is worse being a lonely crossdresser as described above or a 20 year old today with the whole online world of crossdressing at their fingertips and not being able to participate in it. My generation never dreamed about going to crossdressing events like Keystone because they did not exist so we did not miss out on them. We would not even daydream about them because in those days the concept was so far out of the mainstream nobody’s brain could go there.
I would have to weigh each situation as equal because the crossdresser loneliness I experienced was based on knowing nothing about my feelings or that there were others like me. I did not have the crossdresser loneliness of knowing that I was missing out on everything that is available today. Crossdressers today can easily find out answers to every conceivable question they might have. Where to shop for clothes, shoes, wigs, jewelry, and everything needed to be a crossdresser. They have numerous outlets online, Facebook, Crossdresser Heaven Just You Boutique and many more so they are not alone in that respect. That said they cannot reach out and actually hug someone or shake a hand.
LONELY CROSSDRESSER
There are many reasons why crossdressers don’t reach out and some have chosen to remain in their own personal closet which is their undisputed right. Others are still building their courage over time as we all had to do or have financial constraints. The ones that I feel the most sympathy for are the ones who are married but never told their wife. Anything that they do has to be done in secret whether it is just viewing things online or hiding bits of clothing from her and the kids. Getting time to indulge their feminine side is very difficult and sometimes only an hour or so at a time.
They are good people, husbands, fathers and other positive attributes it is just that they never told her. Many got married before they knew what they were while others knew but vowed to quit and did for a while. The desire always comes back as you can read in online profiles but the stuff you threw away doesn’t. It is I think safe to assume that they all fear losing her if they were to come clean at this point so they go to great lengths to keep the secret.
Sadly they are all missing out on the greatest time in history to experience being out and about in public dressed. It is an amazing time to eliminate their crossdresser loneliness by making their own crossdresser contacts and eventually hopefully friends. Hearing the testimonials from 1st timers at events like Keystone must be torture knowing that others are doing it. Thankfully the opportunities are there for them when they are ready and hopefully always will be. While there are not as many big events as there used to be there are still some around and are a great place for 1st timers to launch.

Looking at both sides it will probably come down to who you talk to about which lonely crossdresser situation is worse. None of it will matter if you just make the decision to follow the lead of others who came before you and get dressed, go out, and have fun!
Ask for help from others and you will get it.
