This is a follow up on a recent post on my hip pad quest for lighter weight options. I ordered some Hip Enhancer Padded High Waist Body Shaper Shorts by Shapellx from Nordstroms in XL. It was a battle, but I got them most of the way on before deciding to send them back for two reasons. First, they really were too small so I knew they would be uncomfortable and second, the pads were too thin. They are about 3/4 of an inch thick but concaved on the side touching your hip because they are designed for women that have small hips to give them some curves. Crossdressers need an entire hip, so the XL was barely discernable on me. The picture below shows the actual Crossdresser hip pads in bright white with a darker section which, is the pocket that holds it.

I bought one in black and the other in tan and returned them both to Nordstroms for credit deciding to order them in 2xl direct from Shapellx. I would not recommend anyone else doing that because it actually takes longer and they use a weird company to ship with so tracking is mysterious. I was hoping the 2 XL pads would be thicker due to the larger size but that isn’t the case with Shapellx pads. I did try them on, and the fits is much better, so I am going to try an experiment by adding another company’s pads behind the Shapellx pads.

I ordered some similar pads from Amazon and will attempt to just slide them in with the existing garment pads. If that does not work, I will trim the Amazon pads until I get the desired results of roughly 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 thickness overall per side which is what I wear now in gel pads. Every dress and skirt I own is based on those dimensions so I will need to achieve the one way or the other. They Amazon ones arrive later this week so hopefully I have good news in my next post.
