CROSSDRESSER EVENT PLANNING

A very rewarding and fun part of crossdressing is the excitement and planning for an outing. Regular dinners rendezvous with friends are great but I am talking about large organized events like DIVA Las Vegas or TG Rocktober. The events are back to back this year with TGRocktober ending on Sunday and DIVA starting the next day Monday. I will be attending TGRocktober which is a different structure so planning what to wear for it differs from DIVA.

The welcome dinner for TG Rocktober has changed since the original announcement because of overwhelming interest. It has been moved to a banquet room to accommodate more attendees and is being promoted as a glam affair so that means sequins for me. With a photographer and a TGR backdrop in the room a new outfit is required. The decisions have already been made and the outfit arrived today and fits great.

There are not a lot of daytime events planned for TGR and I won’t be attending any of them that are so plan to shop at the mall or just hang out. The first thing that I consider for daytime is the weather which should be in the mid 90’s afternoons that weekend so staying cool is paramount. I will plan on wearing my lace type jackets that breezy and cool and have zippers. The tank I wear underneath covers most of me and the zipper makes it easy to take it off for trying on dresses. On the bottom its just jeans and comfortable shoes for walking on hard floors. I wear low key jewelry saving the glam for night time and always a shorter wig for shopping excursions. The reason for the shorter wigs is the unpredictable winds in Las Vegas that mess up the hair. It is very easy to just use your fingers to restyle a shorter wig because the hair does move as much longer hair. I think you also blend in better with shorter hair and flat shoes. The picture below with Jane was taken at Keystone but is typical of my shopping outfits. I am not wearing the jacket because I was not shopping there.

The plan for Friday and Saturday nights dinners at TG Rocktober are a couple of mainstream restaurants that I have been to many times. For sure I will be dressed fancier than most of the other ladies in the restaurant but they are used to that. I am always over dressed when I go out at night unless there is some fancy event in town that night.

I have already made the wardrobe choices so now its just a matter of making sure that my makeup kit is well stocked and wigs are washed. Reservations are correct and count the days until my departure.
