When we think about a crossdresser’s family it is usually actual blood relatives along with those acquired through marriage we are thinking of. For some lucky crossdressers though there are friends who become like family members through long term associations sometimes over decades. While not impossible it is difficult to accomplish with online relationships with sometimes a continent separating you.
Local crossdressing clubs have much greater success creating crossdresser family relationships especially with long term members. If you attend meeting’s regularly you are bound to discover details of other members personal lives. During that process you will also divulge aspects of your life resulting in a stronger bond between you. Sharing triumphs and tragedies of our other life has a way of doing that.
This morning I sent an e-mail out to the membership of CHIC our local group notifying them that one of our long time members Karen had past away the day before. Not everyone knew Karen because her Parkinson’s disease made it impossible to attend meetings for several years. Those of us who have been with the club for decades though lost a friend and will miss her. Thankfully we did not have to wonder what happened because all through Karen’s illness various members kept in touch with her family.
If at all possible I urge you to find at least one crossdresser friend that can be trusted to contact your family about your well being.
Micki
