When it comes to crossdresser fashions many of us have a certain style that we prefer as opposed to any current trend. My preferred style came about in my early twenties when tailored suits were the norm for business and social outings. I have evolved beyond suits these more casual days opting for tailored jackets and skirts instead. Mixing and matching skirts and jackets gives me a great deal more options than the limitations of suits. My style really never goes out of fashion because the cuts are more traditional. I have pieces that have been in my closet for years and you would not know it.

CROSSDRESSER FASHION CHOICES
When choosing my crossdresser fashions I look for timeless styles like in the picture above. I don’t recall when I bought the skirt but with the fabric and cut it could be 20 years old without you knowing it. The jacket is newer but probably 10 or 12 years old. I liked the jacket because is colorful and with the vertical stripes makes me look skinnier. Another reason is my wife loves it and when she is happy I am happy so I kinda bought it for her. It is not unusual for her to buy things for me that she thinks I will look good in which, is another reason to keep her happy.
I just returned from my latest adventure in Long Beach and now my focus is on shopping for TG Rocktober which is in less than 3 weeks. I just bought a jacket on sale for the event and am hoping that they get another one back in stock in my size. Both are black which gives me countless options for mix and match with skirts. Its fun exploring new looks with patterned or colored skits with different jackets. The picture below I did the opposite pairing patterned top with a solid skirt. I chose black but solid silver, gray or white would work well also. I have been taught to never to pair two different patterns because they fight with each other. In each of the pictures I selected the solid skirt to emphasize the jacket.

Planning for events like TG Rocktober takes some thinking and strategy because I will be dressing 3 days and 3 nights so versatility needs to be considered. If will be flying weight needs to be considered because of the 50 LB limit per bag. Typically for 3 day events I ship my luggage ahead of time which means decisions need to be made on how much to bring. It will take several days FEDEX Ground to arrive at the hotel so I need to pack and ship a week ahead. Typically I wear jeans and skirts multiple days / nights but not the tops.
My wardrobe planning has already started because while TG Rocktober is still 3 weeks off if I ship my luggage I only have 2 weeks to decide.

stockings not so much in style now. yet the 3 photos included in this message clearly demonstrate the contrast. they always improve your looks (excuse me for being both personal and perhaps confused re: photo #1 )
I love your style and wish it worked in my circumstances. For better or worse, I live in a very rural, resort area and the style is decidedly casual. I do the best i can to blend in with the women around me.
In you circumstances I would do the same and dress down to blend. I would not be terribly out of place wearing 4 inch heels and a dress in a Las Vegas mall but opt for a casual look.
