For years I fought the false eyelash battle with some success and all the frustration that came with it. Each time something new came out I rushed out and bought the latest sure thing for easy to install lashes. Most of the time I had the same frustrating results with poor adhesion and eventually falling off. Not both lashes mind you just one so you have to decide whether to attempt putting it back on or removing the remaining one. I had that problem a couple of times with glue on lashes but also the corners lifting which, is really annoying. Not to mention how goofy you look with the end of the lash sticking up away from your eye where everybody can see it.

To be honest my lack of patience and skill are a factor for my lack of success along with vision challenges requiring a magnifying mirror. Those reasons alone should have been enough to discourage me from trying the two piece (upper & lower) combination lash product a few years back. I don’t feel too bad though because it was short lived I’m guessing women had as much trouble with it as I did trying to install a false lash above and below your lash.
I kept experimenting and finally slayed that dragon a couple of years ago with magnetic lashes that I shorten prior to applying them. They stay on all night and don’t lift or give me any problems at all but, there are some things that I do that are different than you get from instructions on the box.

1.The first thing that I do is wipe the area above my lash with a Q-Tip lightly dampened with alcohol to remove any skin oil.
2. I apply a different magnetic eyeliner than the one that comes with the lashes which is poor quality and many times dried out.

3. I apply extra liner in the corners of the eye for better hold.
4. I cut the lash at the long end just inside the 2nd magnet which removes about 1/4 inch and makes the lash less dramatic.
5. I apply the lashes then several generous coats of mascara and let dry.
6. Finally I take my thumb and fore finger and press my lash and the false lash together squishing the mascara between them. This provides an extra layer of holding power connecting the lashes together along with the magnetic connection.

Totally sister!! The magnetic lashes are the best! Infallible unless you can’t draw a straight line across you lid!
Two points: 1 – I wear long lashes. That’s because I have big hands, and I do not have the dexterity to manage smaller lash sizes. 2 – I use DUO glue with a brush. I can put a razor thin layer of glue on the lash. This goes on easily. Moreover, I can re-use the lashes many times, as other techniques glob up the lash and create trashy lashes for subsequent attempts.

Great points Michelle. Thanks for you insights I know there are many of us with different preferences that work equally well.
Take it from an experiences globber!
