Sunday was the official Transgender Day of Visibility but I don’t use the term so celebrated my Crossdresser Day of Visibility like I always do. Out and about in Las Vegas at a different restaurant than usual. I decided to express my crossdresser visibility at Ferraro’s restaurant just down the road from my hotel. It looked nice from the outside and I had driven by it for years so my curiosity took me in the door.
Being a party of one insured my crossdresser visibility along with the fact that I was definitely better dressed than anyone else there. Things got off to a great start when a gentleman standing near the entrance opened the door for me. The hostesses greeted me with big smiles then seated me at a great table on the side of the dinning room. I appreciate being seated on the side of the room as opposed to the middle where you are in a fishbowl.
The were no surprises for this crossdresser visibility adventure as the staff of the restaurant treated me wonderfully without regard to how I was dressed. The same was true of the other patron’s who were pretty much oblivious to my presence. Although I did not speak with any of them it was apparent from their expressions when we made eye contact that they had no issues. My server Oscar was very attentive and genuinely curious about me and we chatted on a couple of different topics. He recommended the Osso Bucco which I ordered not so much for the meat but the Saffron Risotto which is a favorite of mine.
I finished dinner then checked out the bar which was empty which was nice because I had the opportunity to chat with the bartender who was originally from Northern California. We discussed the sad situation going on in San Francisco where I have had many crossdresser visibility adventures. In fact it was where I first gained the confidence to go out in public in a big way back in the late 1990’s. Sadly most of the awesome restaurants we had so much fun in are now gone.

Fast forward and here I am doing my crossdresser visibility in Las Vegas solo at a new restaurant something I would never have considered when I first started out. We are very fortunate to live in the times that we do with more people choosing to accept crossdressers and Trans people.
