Regardless of how important dressing is sometimes a Crossdressing hiatus is necessary as was the case for me since last June. The good news is last weekend I was able to restart the Micki Finn Road Show in Las Vegas and am a better person for it. My wife will attest to that; she sends me away when I get grumpy saying it’s my sime of the month. I went back to the Trump Hotel because it is convenient and a comfortable environment for me and I am made to feel welcome there. It is also an easy walk across a small 2-lane street from the entrance to Nordstroms and the Fashion Show Mall which saves me a UBER fare. It was 105 degrees on Friday so the shorter that walk the better.
I made the dash to Nordstroms at noon picked up some new earrings then headed for the California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. I was off to Dillards after lunch and into the jewelry section which, was pretty picked over so I moved on to the dresses. I was hoping the Fall inventory would be available, but it had not yet fully arrived. I did find a formal that I liked but will wait and watch until it goes on sale cuz I don’t have a reason the wear it yet. Macys was next on my schedule, but the outcome was the same as Dillards and Nordstroms is always overpriced so I only shop for sale jewelry there. If there is something of interest, there I will get it online from Nordstrom Rack when its reasonably priced.

I had a dinner reservation Friday night at a new restaurant located in a hotel I had never been to so started getting ready early. Also, it had been a couple of months since I had done the making Micki Magic process, so I needed to see what I had forgotten. Thankfully it went pretty well, and I arrived at the Scotch 80 Prime Steakhouse at the Palms Hotel early and got seated right away.
When exploring a new restaurant, I typically do it solo rather than bringing others because I don’t know how it’s going to go. I don’t want to expose others to a bad experience I invited them to if the restaurant was a bad choice. There are two other reasons I chose this route. Civilian people are more likely to reach out to me when there is only me involved and being only one person, I attract less attention.
Start to finish my experience at Scotch 80 Prime Steakhouse was outstanding and I will definitely return sometime in the future. The hostesses were warm and friendly and seated me at a table where I could see everyone entering and leaving the restaurant. Good for people watching but unfortunately most people did not respect the dress code but, a few women wore dresses and heels. One of the hostesses took the picture above along with the one at the top.
My server Joseph was outstanding and professional in many ways starting with calling me by my first name which he took the time to notice. He never rushed me in the slightest allowing me to enjoy my Cosmo leisurely before ordering my dinner. He checked on me periodically always letting me know there was no rush he just didn’t want me to wait unnecessarily. He got me a baked potato which is off the menu, but he made it happen. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the Tomato & Burrata salad was a real treat with an ice cream surprise in it.

The only downside was UBER insisted I walk across the entire casino to the far end of the building to pick me up which, sucked. Fortunately, I was able to walk on the carpet most of the way avoiding the painful walk on the tile.
Once back at the Trump Hotel I went upstairs to freshen up then headed for the bar to see if I could do some outreach. One of the things I like about the hotel is its smaller so less walking from the elevator to the front lobby. The bar was disappointing as nobody seemed interested, so I left and asked one of the hostesses to take some pictures of me. She was overly enthusiastic which made up for the bar failure and took the picture below.

After the photos she asked me if she could ask a question which, of course I naturally answered she could. She inquired what was the proper way to address someone like me telling me she did not want to assume although she thought feminine pronouns were probably best. I answered yes but with the caveat that I am not offended when someone calls me sir because I use my male voice. What followed was a lesson on the difference between Crossdressers and the other folks out there under the umbrella. Crossdressing being an event with a duration as opposed to a gender lifestyle.
With that out of the way she progressed to makeup which she was favorably impressed by mine and very complimentary which made my night. She asked how I learned how to do makeup which became a lengthy Q&A discussion that led to her asking for my website so she could see my process. So, my outreach went from disappointment to elation as the young woman left with a better understanding of Crossdressers and some beauty tips along with it.
A great first night after ending my Crossdresser hiatus!
