From my experience pretty much, every restaurant can be a Crossdresser restaurant, but you still need to check them out ahead of time. Higher end restaurants in nice places I don’t bother looking too closely at because I know they have security and are on guard for problems. They cater to anyone, but I refer to them as Crossdresser restaurants based on my acceptance experiences there as I have spoken about before. The Scotch 89 Prime Steakhouse experience I talked about in my past Friday night post is pretty typical.

Because the shopping was so dismal on Friday, I took it easy on Saturday and went out as Duke deferring the Micki Magic until later in the afternoon. My first thought was to have lunch at the Capital Grill before heading across the street to CVS to pick up a few things. I decided to just go to the Treasure Island Casino for lunch which is where the CVS is and find some place inside to eat lunch. Bad idea everyplace was full of about 30 people in line waiting to get in so back to plan “A” with a slight modification.
I stopped at CVS on the way to the Grill. Things have changed since my last visit to this CVS right across from the Palazzo hotel because I had to call an attendant to unlock the case so I could get an Emory board nail file. I guess the theft is pretty bad in Las Vegas now. I knew the Capital Grill would not be busy, and I was the only one sitting at the bar, so the service was great. The food isn’t cheap, but the burger was very good, and they make their own potato chips which I enjoyed. After lunch I made a quick stop at the MAC store to buy some more foundation then back to the hotel.

I had a six thirty reservation at the Bistecca Steakhouse located in the Tuscany Suites hotel where TG Rocktober is being held in a couple of weeks. Bistecca is definitely a Crossdresser restaurant and very accepting of us. It will be filled with ladies from all over the spectrum during TG Rocktober. When I travel to Las Vegas, I always arrange a dinner there with my friend Michelle who lives in town. One reason that I always set it up at Bistecca is they never rush us allowing us to leave only when we are ready. Unfortunately, on this occasion neither one of us thought to get a picture so below is one from a previous outing.

Michelle and I had a drink in the Piazza Lounge at the Tuscany after dinner then I headed back to the Trump Hotel where I was staying to finish packing. Once there I headed up to my room but noticed the bar looked pretty lively, so I freshened my makeup and headed down for a quick drink. I chose a seat at the end of the bar leaving an empty stool between myself and a woman enjoying a drink with her dog. That’s right she a tiny Silkie Terrier sitting in her purse alongside her, so I asked what the dog was drinking. That broke the ice and after a couple of minutes she approached me and started asking questions about what I was doing there.

Just like the previous night with the other woman she asked how she should refer to me and I gave a similar answer as the night before. Each question seemed to bring another question, and we talked for quite a while about my being married along with all the family questions. Having never met a crossdresser before she had almost no knowledge so it’s fair to say she learned a great deal. She knew everyone who worked at the hotel, so I think she lives there because the top floor rooms are privately owned residences.
After a while one of her friends showed up so her attention went to them and not long after that another came and sat between us. By that time another woman came up on my right side to order a drink, and we chatted for a couple of minutes until I finished my drink and paid my tab. The topper of the evening came when I pushed the bar stool back and started to head out and my new friend noticed I was leaving. She turned on her stool and asked me for a hug and I complied. When it comes to doing outreach with civilians it doesn’t get much better than that for me anyway.
I left that night with the feeling that all three of the women that I spoke with on this adventure accepted me. They knew early on that I was not a woman but were intrigued and curious so reached out. In the end they found an interesting harmless crossdresser that they enjoyed conversing with. In my view another successful Crossdresser / civilian interaction!

Miss Micki…. Wonderful story. I like the way you try to get out and interact with the non crossdressing crowd (I love the way you refer to them as civilians). I’m not anywhere near as glamorous as you, but when I get out I try to do the same. Let folks know – in a good way – that I am just a guy in a dress who wants to occasionally look and act pretty. It’s fun and enjoyable. Take care, Staci
