CROSSDRESSING NAILS

I would not go out the door without my crossdressing nails on it just would not be right for me. Long beautiful nails really complete any outfit or transformation and are a must as far as most of us are concerned. Since the beginning of the year I have been buying various press on nails from online using Etsy and Amazon primarily which has been frustrating and somewhat expensive. Like most crossdressers I am looking for wider nail beds so that is what I search for. I get lots of nails that say they are wider but most are not and I end up throwing them away.

The only one that I have found that are truly wide nail bed are KISS Salon Acrylic French which say WIDER FIT on the box from Amazon. The thumbs in this set are almost too wide and the ones below that size are marginal but could work if I pressed them down hard on my nail. This set has the widest thumbs I have ever come across and getting 4 thumbs in one package is unheard of. The same is pretty much true of the other nails in the set so they are a really good value.

I am not really a fan of the squared off nails but am kind of getting used to them so who knows maybe they will grow on me. I did experiment with cutting them down and reshaping them in more of a rounded or almond shape which is easy to do with clippers and a file. The two nails on the bottom left are the marginal thumbs that I experimented on and the 3rd one on the right is a bit smaller thumb. I prefer the amount of white tip on the right one but you have to cut so much off that you end up with a short stubby nail that makes your fingers look like sausages.

These nails are under $10.00 from Amazon and are worth it from the convenience standpoint but are not very durable and tear easily. To wear them more than once I recommend using the gel tabs instead of gluing them on. That way you can gently apply constant pressure like you were pulling a ring off your finger and avoid tearing. Because they are delicate I also recommend bracing the nail in your palm when you roll the gel off the artificial nail so it cant flex. I have torn these nails just getting the gel off of them so you have to be really careful.

MY CROSSDRESSING NAILS ULTIMATE SOLUTION

I have not given up on my Talon nails that are thicker and much more durable but just taking a break from all of the work that is involved in making them. I plan to start a new experiment that my solve absolutely all of my issues with the Talon nails. In the fall when I start going back to Las Vegas I plan to find a local nail shop there and have them do a French Manicure on me using my unpainted Talon nails that I have cut and shaped already. I will just attach them using the gel tabs and the nail lady will just do the painting part for me. If I book an appointment every morning for 4 days I will have 4 sets done on that trip. I have a suspicion that they can paint them for me all at once if I just give them the nails ahead of time. If so I will just give them about 10 sets and be done for a very long time because with the gel I very seldom have a nail come off or lose one.

I have no issues with the salon so in the future that will most likely be where I get my crossdressing nails done.
