My last day as a Keystone crossdresser was a busy one that as usual starts at lunch. Mornings I do so work and family stuff so noon works well. I did not dream about my chicken lunch all night but the turkey panini instead so my course was clear. I skipped the group lunch and headed to the restaurant downstairs for something besides chicken. I ordered the turkey panini again and it was glorious. I over ate for me because their homemade potato chips are also very good.
My next step was up to the room for a quick adjustment along with checking some e-mails. I never used any of the ladies rooms the entire weekend choosing my room instead. That is my preference when ever possible on my outings for several reasons. First it eliminates any conflicts with GG’s that could possibly occur. I am aware that the hotel has made arrangements for Keystone crossdressers and many women have no problem with it. Second I know how clean my bathroom is and who has been using it. That is not the case with public restrooms and I have seen some pretty bad ones. Third any thrill or amusement about using the ladies room faded long ago. That said, I will undoubtedly be using the ladies room sometime in the future. Like when nature calls away from my room at the mall or dinner.
KEYSTONE CROSSDRESSER’S
Next on the schedule was the Vanity Club afternoon cocktail reception for Keystone crossdresser prospective new members. The club puts them together to give prospects an opportunity to meet members and ask questions. About 30 members showed up and chatted with prospects about the club and its advantages for members.

The photo above is from the reception Saturday afternoon but none were prospects. From left to right are Jolene who joined last year. Myself ,Gwen and Marie who were candidates in the current election that would end that night. Finally on the far end is Jane who joined right after me in 2017. A few hours later Gwen became Vanity Club sisters and Marie when the election closed.
The reception wrapped up in time for me to get ready for the big bash that night. It is on the dressy side but I oped not to wear a formal but dressy anyway. I did not get any pictures as I explained previously. This outfit is almost identical to the one I wore Saturday night with only the skirt being slightly different.

Right before the gala dinner all Vanity Club members were assembled across the hall for the customary group photo. Events like Keystone are the main opportunity for Vanity Club members to see each other. The photo is a fun way to end the weekend.

Myself along with Jane and Danielle wrapping up Keystone in the bar before calling it a night.

My experience as a Keystone crossdresser was very positive even though I did not participate in every aspect of it. Being a crossdresser the majority of the trans oriented programs are of no interest. I charted my course decades ago and it is in a different direction. I went to Keystone to socialize along with comparing it to my previous experiences and I did. The social offerings at Keystone are pretty similar especially the bar crowd although everyone is younger. Meeting new Keystone crossdressers is done primarily at the lunches, dinners and seminars and evolves from there.
I think the biggest advantage in attending an event like Keystone is knowledge that was not available decades earlier. The first events I went to were crossdresser party’s where many of us met our first crossdresser. Over time people realized the crossdresser label did not represent them and they wanted more. That led to the trans designation and all of its variations we see today. Beginners today can attend an event like Keystone and get answers to their questions learning the various options available. Besides the multitude of seminars they give everyone a guide book which is a tremendous resource with tons of information. The book is one place that Keystone stands out from my previous event experiences in a big way. It is the first time I recall any event doing one especially as comprehensive as it is. Its a valuable resource for not only the event but at home as well. Post event questions along with ones an attendee was uncomfortable asking in person can be done in private. Contact information for a wide variety of vetted resources are available in the guide. That takes the guess work out of the search for inexperienced Keystone crossdressers.
For those thinking of going to an event for the first time I can recommend this one. I believe it will check the most boxes and save a great deal of time and money. The environment is safe, fun and educational and can guide you in the next steps in your journey.
It is much better now than in the old days of C:/
