The only official TGR 2024 event item scheduled for Friday was a photo shoot with a professional photographer which I was not interested in doing. That left me a leisurely day with plenty of time to get ready for dinner which I was very much looking forward to for a couple of reasons. The first was I had reservations for 4 at 7 PM at Bistecca Steakhouse located in the Tuscany hotel.
The second was the three people joining me for dinner none of whom I had ever laid eyes on before. They responded to the inquiry I made on the TGR 2024 online group for dinner mates. Although three ladies responded one was a no show but the evening that I spent with Mallory from Minnesota and Lauren from Maine was awesome. Both ladies were attending TG Rocktober for their first time and did not know each other before. Bistecca did not rush us so we had a leisurely dinner followed by a very interesting and wide ranging discussion. I think it was almost 11 PM when we finally left the restaurant but other TGR 2024 ladies were still lingering also.
I was aware that Lauren knew some Vanity Club Members having seen her in some pictures with VC members but none with Mallory. It turned out Mallory is a VC member also and has been for a long time. All of us were pretty close in age so easily related to each other well and most valuable for me I learned a few things about them and other things that evening.
We filled out the evening in the Piazza Lounge listening to the band where I ran into fellow VC member Christina who would be joining me for dinner Saturday night.
TGR 2024 FRIENDS
I finished the night with Jane and a couple of other TGR 2024 ladies on the outdoor patio chatting about the drive to crossdress. It was getting pretty deep when I looked at my watch seeing it was past 1 AM and announced I would be turning into a pumpkin soon and called it a night.
For you ladies out there planning on attending TGR 2025 next year for the 1st time I suggest you reach out like I did and arrange a dinner someplace you are comfortable with and invite others to join.
My overall impression of TGR 2024 or more formally TG Rocktober so far is that everyone was enjoying themselves. Each TGR 2024 event seemed very well attended with a great deal of overall enthusiasm. I noted a handful of wives and S. O.’s attending which is nice to see the support they are giving their partner.
There is one more night to come and Saturday night is always the big bang for the event so more later!

It’s been a while since I’ve replied to you. But I read every blog you’ve posted. I particularly enjoyed your solo excursions and very happy that you’re able to do as much as you do. You remind me of a dear friend here in Kamloops that I go shopping with and then meet up with our other girl friends (both Cis and Trans) twice a month at least at our favourite pub for happy hour.
I’m so glad that we were able to meet at DLV. It was one of the highlites for me. Paulette was after me to go again this year but I told her that as much fun I had and all the wonderful girls I met it was pretty much far to expensive for this Canuck. Just to fly there and back was just under $1000. But I ‘m so glad I was able to go.
This coming year I’m going to the Esprit Gala in Port Angeles Wa. for a week for not a lot more than the plane fare to Vegas was. The best part is I can drive there. Have a wonderful weekend girl.

It’s nice to hear from you and I’m glad your enjoying my posts. I did not do DIVA for different reasons but totally get your position regarding the cost of going there. I was in BC a couple of months ago as you know and experienced the exchange rate first hand. Good for me but a real bummer for Canadians.
I hear good things about Esprit and just might join you there. My friend Susie from Cali thinks I should do it and threatened to join me so maybe we will see you there.

That would be wonderful Micki if you were able to make it. The population is only 20,000 and the whole town loves the conference. A girl friend here in Kamloops has helped put Esprit together for years and has been on me for a while to go 😊. I hope you can make it.
