Saturday was the final day of TG Rocktober 2024 and the climax is the Troy Bar party overlooking Freemont street from the private balcony. The only TGR event planned during the day is the afternoon trip to the Bellagio for a group photo then on to downtown for the big party at the Troy nightclub.
The Bellagio trip did not interest me so I made arrangements for dinner at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse in the Golden Nugget Resort and invited others to join me. Christina and Jane joined me and we had an excellent meal along with some great conversation.
Our server was over the top accommodating our every request and took care of every other detail for us while never missing a pronoun. He did not bat an eye when I requested separate checks for each of us.
The main reason that I chose Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse was they are located in the Golden Nugget hotel on the main floor and the big TGR event that night is located just above it. I love walking in heels but not for long stretches so this was a perfect choice. We finished a leisurely dinner and got to the Troy Bar just a couple of minutes early so had time for a few pictures.
Christina nailed down the 1st two places in line so we were the first to get in when the Troy opened up.
The really cool thing that I don’t think many people realize about this event at the Troy Bar is the location. It is smack dab in the middle of all the action of the Freemont Street experience and the Troy experience part of that is very impressive. The balcony that is reserved for TGR members only from 9 to 12 hangs over the best location on Freemont Street. The stage in the center of the picture (red & yellow) where everyone below is looking at has a rock band playing your favorite rock and roll music.
The TGR ladies enjoy their unobstructed perch taking it all in with occasional zip line people crossing between them and the band.
Besides the private balcony that has its very own bar and bartender exclusively making drinks for TGR ladies which is included in your ticket price you have the entire Freemont show at the end of you nose! I know people have been expressing shock of prices going through the roof in Las Vegas but you have to kick in a little for the private balcony! I truly believe your not going to get a better deal than this in Las Vegas anywhere else.
So what exactly is the TGR private party at the Troy Bar Balcony like? I will tell you and have lots of pictures in my next post so you gotta wait a little longer.
