We all have them and most enjoy having them painted our favorite color which is what prompted this post. Going to the salon is fun but time consuming and some will never feel comfortable doing that. I came across a new product from KISS where I get my fingernails that intrigued me so I bought a couple of packages. The new product is pre glued press on toenails so you can avoid the salon or do it yourself hassle. I tried them out on my latest trip to Seattle to see how they would hold up and to make it interesting I intentionally did not follow the instructions. The directions said to clean with the alcohol pad prior to applying the nails to remove any oils. I purposely did not do that to see how the glue held up without it.

I applied the nails on Thursday night after some filing and shaping and removed them on Sunday morning after wearing pointed toe pumps two nights in a row. They stayed on flawlessly with none moving or lifting in any way. I pried them off using an orange stick under the edges and they came off easily. There was some resistance with the glue still holding on well but, they were not difficult to remove even though I did not clean the toenails prior so, I am very impressed. Applying them was very easy just selecting the correct size, peeling off the plastic protection layer exposing the glue already on the nail, and pressing them on.

The picture above I took in my hotel room just before removing the nails which are salon quality in my opinion. They are thin enough that I would wear them with things or any other sandal. They have a limited selection of styles but French Manicure is one of them which, I think would look great on tanned feet.

Miss Micki… Nice but I prefer a real pedicure. Wifey and me just got pedicures together a few days ago, fun. I have been painting my toenails for at least 15 years – before I began crossdressing – and never received a negative reaction, instead have gotten many compliments. The press on nails are a nice alternative though. They do look nice. If you are going to wear sandals, your feet should look nice. Staci…
Hello Micki, appreciating the update~
great to hear trip and gathering went well super cute pedicure (tips on toes) lol,
I have had to to cover discolored unhealthy (big toe) toenails for several years.
It’s time to go see the podiatrist. Get started on a better care management routine.
Thanks for your ever so present help in the little details right now to the little pinky toe lol.

Micki,
I, too love pretty toes and have multiple experiences with this type of product (although not this particular brand). People do notice and I get many compliments on my “pedicure” from people when I’m out and about. (And yes the French Manicure nails are my favorite). The one thing I would caution, however, is to definitely NOT skip the alcohol wipe cleaning if you are going to be wearing sandals or any type of open-toed shoe. We don’t give a lot of thought to how often we bump against table or chair legs or other obstacles with our shoes because they provide protection to our feet and toes, That protection decreases significantly with sandals and open toes, and it is greatly disappointing to look down at your pretty toes to find a nail missing in the middle of an otherwise perfect evening. (Plus heaven only knows where the AWOL nail wound up! LOL) Cleaning your nails with alcohol prior to applying the nails does not totally eliminate this possibility buy greatly decreases the chances of it happening. I keep an extra supply of alcohol wipes with me when I go out, because you only get one with the nail kit, and I have found that it takes two or three to properly clean all ten toes to eliminate the possibility of losing one. Plus you can easily remove any excess glue from your natural nails when its time to remove your pretty nails. Just remember to use nail oil or some other type of moisturizer on your toes afterward to negate the drying effect of the alcohol. So get out there ladies and show off your pretty toes!
Thanks Pam.
I only skipped the initial cleaning to test the glue and you are right about cleaning them first which, I will do before wearing them again.
