I have heard a great deal about a supposed Trump War on Transgender People so I wondered if there was one for Transvestite / Crossdressers also. My BFF Ashley and I decided to go to the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas to see for ourselves how at least that Trump organization would treat us. To be honest its location 200 feet from the front door of Nordstrom’s also played a role in our decision. We arrived late Monday afternoon working undercover as two white haired old men as not to attract undue attention allowing us to get the layout of the place. Anyone in our age group knows we are pretty much invisible when dressed as males so our cover was not blown. The big test will come at noon tomorrow when we blossom as ladies and enter the hotel lobby on our way to lunch and shopping.
Day one got off to a great start when I entered the elevator filled with very kind people dressed as Duke with my ball cap on to get some coffee and a Danish in the lobby. I say kind because nobody said anything or laughed at me forgetting to remove my nose breathing strip. I noticed it myself as I walked passed a mirror in the hallway on the way to the lobby but then again I was still invisible.
Ashley was in the lobby waiting when I arrived and we headed off for lunch as ladies with just a few looks from hotel guests and only smiles and greetings along with proper pronouns from hotel staff. We crossed the street to Nordstroms then upstairs to their restaurant for a nice lunch followed by some shopping. The only thing I even look for in Nordstroms is inexpensive jewelry because I have found them to be more expensive than Macy’s and Dillard’s for the same stuff. I found some earrings on sale and bought them then headed off to Dillard’s for exploration. Unfortunately the inventories have all changed to summer fashions so I shifted my tactics to shoes and makeup. No score for the shoes but did some damage at MAC with some great help from the ladies there.
After shopping it was time to change from the flats and jeans to dresses and heels for one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. I figured my blue dress was likely to attract some attention which I was prepared for but it was not a big deal. The looks I got were not any different than any other place in Las Vegas. The clientele at the Trump Las Vegas is a combination of guests like us, time share guests, and private residents. The mix of international guests is different than other hotels so reactions differ and also people in general were dressed better than Strip hotels. We were not the best dressed ladies any of the nights we went out but it gave us inspiration. Although something tells me nothing they wore would come in my size OR budget.

Piero’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas and those of you who subscribe to my site have read about it before as I try to go there a couple of times per year. The food and service are great and this trip was no exception with us both choosing the Veal Marsala which was fork tender. This time I was there with Ashley but I am very comfortable going there solo also with no concerns.

Fans of the movie Casino might recognize the restaurant as some of the scenes from the movie were filmed inside but that’s not why people go there. The food and service are awesome and they have live entertainment on weekends with predominately locals. With the Las Vegas Convention Center across the street week nights get crowded with convention folks so reservations are a must.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel where Ashley opted to call it a night so I decided to go to the lobby bar for a nightcap solo. It was a quiet night with only two others there who left shortly after I sat down but were replaced by some others right away. It was not going to be a night for conversation this night so I finished my Cosmo and left. The next night though was going to be a completely different story on many levels so stay tuned.

I’m curious…
Micki presents so well were the looks an indication you were ‘read’ or were the looks just random glances?
Cheers Pamela
Thanks for the comment Pamela. I hope they are random glances but will really never know because I always move confidently with intention so typically just passing them by. Assuming they care there is little time to study the ladies that just passed lest they walk into a wall!
Best,
Micki
