I removed my nose strip today before going down for coffee so the day got off to a better start. Once again I met Ashley in the lobby in my shopping ensemble of flats, jeans, a lace jacket and we were off for lunch in the mall. Ashley was on a mission to buy the shoes she was checking out the day before and finally bought them. We also went back to the larger MAC store in the mall to get some Paint Pot to fill pores that the smaller store did not have the day before. It was fun hanging out with the artists at MAC who are super friendly and supportive and it got me thinking back how things have changed over the last thirty plus years. In the beginning we whispered our questions and got out of there quickly and now we tell jokes laugh and many times leave with a hug. Having accomplished most of our goals the day before we headed back to the hotel early which gave me time to pre pack for the next morning.
I typically am in charge of the restaurant reservations so was in the mood for something different on this trip and came across a new place. At least one that I was not aware of in my previous searches and decided to give it a try sight unseen which, is another departure from years ago when a prior recon was a must. Times have changed and especially in Las Vegas I feel comfortable in most places in particular when they are in nice hotels. This one was located in the Four Seasons Hotel where I have never stayed but it is a Michael Mina restaurant where I have dined at others before so felt at ease. The restaurant is called Bourbon and I liked the name to start but things got better when I saw the entrance.

The hostesses greeted us with proper pronouns and compliments taking us to a great table on the side of the restaurant. I hate sitting in the middle when dressed especially when dining alone. Our server was very attentive and what I really appreciated was when I told him that we were not in a hurry he said to take all the time we wanted. We did and he only came around periodically to check when glasses were getting low. We ordered the steaks which were cooked perfectly and enjoyed our leisurely dinner.
I got us an UBER ride back to the hotel and this is where the night took a really interesting turn along with another crossdressing first for me. When the UBER driver pulled into the hotel valet area to let us out there were 4 black GMC Suburban’s parked across the main entrance and sheriff’s deputy’s standing all around. We figured maybe were going to jail for something until Ashley noticed the U.S. Government license plates. So the FBI is going to arrest us and the sheriff will hold us in their jail. Nope! Nobody paid us any mind and we just walked in like the night before. Ashley decided to turn in but I needed to know what was going on because I did hear that Don Jr. was going to be speaking at the Bitcoin conference that day. I asked the hostess in the restaurant and she said no, it was Eric Trump not Don Jr. The restaurant was pretty empty and the bar only had four people sitting there so I made it 5 figuring if Eric were anywhere close it would be obvious with security people everywhere.
I ordered my usual Cosmo and a woman two seats down on my left complimented me on my hair so naturally I wanted to hear more of her thoughts. We chatted for a bit and then her friend came and sat between us. Lady #1 briefed her friend on my hair so she added her compliments which I also enjoyed. She scolded me for telling them I was a crossdresser and also it was a wig saying that nobody could tell. The conversation drifted on to several other subjects before they became distracted and I retreated to my drink. Tonight was making up for my pretty much boring previous night but it was about to get better.
I took another sip of my Cosmo then the woman on my right that was sitting with her husband complimented me on my purse saying she really liked it. I hope I didn’t embarrass her but I told her it was from Amazon and cost me $20.00 which led to a discussion of overpriced designer products. She and her husband were there for a convention she was attending for work and he was watching basketball on TV so seemed happy she made a friend. We had a really nice chat on various subjects one of which was their support for the president which led to their attending the rally in Butler Pennsylvania. Way too much to go into here but her really up close eyewitness account got his attention so he chimed in with some details that were fascinating.
I decided to call it a night and we shook hands and they asked me if I got a picture with Eric Trump and showed me theirs. I told them that I didn’t know if it was a good idea for me to do that in a dress and besides I didn’t see him. They looked at me shocked and said “he was sitting right there at that table the whole time you were sitting here.” I looked over where they were pointing and saw about half of a round table for 8 tucked around the side of the bar. I could have easily tossed an ice cube into his drink they were so close. When I arrived I was looking for a seat at the bar and probably looked right at them without even noticing them.
So why is that such a big deal? Because if they view the security footage in the morning or the Secret Service sees it my hair looked great and I have the first two ladies at the bar as my witnesses! It’s always important to look your best ladies because you never know whose paying attention.
In the final analysis as Transvestite / Crossdressers we were treated just like any other customer at a high end hotel. My treatment at the bar by staff and customers was as good or better than I have experienced anywhere in my travels. No war on Transvestite / Crossdressers that I could see.

I am without a doubt very lucky but I have no data how many crossdressers there are in the world along with how many are married so can’t address the distinct minority question.
