Fresh off another adventure crossdressing in long Beach I got to thinking how things have changed over the years. When I first started going out dressed completely I knew people were not being fooled so thought it better to not linger in one place too long. Typically when someone clocked you it was a game of look, look, look away although some were hypnotized and stared for a while. Mostly they were just trying to get a good look without getting caught. Many times there was some snickering and or giggles if there were some women in the group but nothing in your face ever. I think it was because there were no petite crossdressers in our group and the thought of being thumped by a guy in a dress kept things somewhat civil.

Before I was a member of CHIC I was told a story of an incident where to of our members were being taunted about being Tinkerbell or something insulting like that. Our two members exchanged insults with them and stood their ground. Apparently the taunting fellows figured if they confronted the two queens they would scream and runaway. It might have worked out that way if they were after all queens instead of former Airborne Rangers with two combat tours each in Vietnam. I guess you could say it was the kings who ran away screaming and bleeding from the encounter. I was told the whole incident lasted about a minute.

Fast forward a few years and the scene is very different like last week when we were out among the public in a crowded tourist area. Where once they laughed now they look up from there phone and grunt something like “yeah I saw them” and go back to Snapchat or whatever.
Even families with children glance then look away without snatching their children away to safety. I not saying that we are boring but nobody seems to think it is worth bringing to anyone’s attention.
Already planning my next adventure!
