Friday was day 2 for me at Keystone and I signed up for the luncheon to meet some new folks. I ran into my friend Jennifer from Portland Oregon who belongs to the Rose City “T” Girls. I joined them in Portland in February for a joint meeting between CHIC and Rose City. We sat with Sharon Rose who was hosting a table and some others came afterward. Salads were on the table when we arrived along with the desert which I thought was a pretty cool. That way of doing it speeds everything along with less for the server to do. Everyone had ordered and paid in advance so the entree arrived timely manner. I had ordered the herbed chicken breast with green beans.
Jennifer was off to the seminars after lunch so I went back to my room. I needed to check in with my wife and some e-mails. After that I went to the vendor area again with some questions for the Pink Room people. Mid afternoon seemed like a good time for a Cosmo so I headed to the bar. I wanted to see what was going on. There was always somebody there hanging out just like in the old days.
Friday nights dinner was private for Vanity Club members and guests at the hotel. Jennifer was their as my guest. I don’t know how many people were there but my guess is about 60 in all. Thank God I brought the backup red skirt because I did not listen to that little voice in my head. It told me to do fit check the blue tweed skirt I brought for this outfit. Nah, its the right size and I wore it a while back which, is a dumb argument. The good news was I was right it did fit however very tight around the waist. So much so that I thought it would make me uncomfortable all night so I changed it. Basic crossdresser 101 mistake that is easily avoided!

Before the dinner opened it was picture time in the lobby area outside the banquet room. Jennifer joined me for the 1st picture of the night. Carrie and Christy joined me for our mini Vanity Club group photo.

The doors opened and members and guests headed in for dinner. The setup was the same as lunch with salads and desert already waiting. I wasn’t thinking well when I reserved my meals because I ordered the chicken dinner. It was identical to my lunch only with different sauce. To make matters worse I had also ordered it with yet a different sauce for lunch on Saturday. Great planning Micki!
I ducked out right after dinner was finished as the speakers topic was not of interest. I headed for the bar to finish off the night. It wasn’t long before the rest of the gang came down and the conversations flowed. It was karaoke night and there was some really good singers lined up. I called it a night around 11:30 and went to bed so I could dream about my chicken all night!
